The Arabic language is the language of one of the most important religious book, the Koran. It is a very difficult language to translate because it has its own character, its secrets and, of course, its charm.

Arabic is the most common Semitic language. Born in the 2nd century in the Arabian Peninsula, it was imposed throughout the Middle East and North Africa thanks to the Muslim conquests in the 7th century.

There are two variations of the Arabic language:
• The literary Arabic, which remains very close to the language of the Koran and the pre-Islamic literature. It is used primarily in writing and it is common to all Arab countries.
• The Arabic dialect which varies from country to country.

Arabic is spoken by about 250 million people, from Asia to Africa and Malta is the only Arabic dialect written in Latin alphabet.
