Defense Language Institute Russian  - Image The Russian Basic course is made up of 18 different ebooks and 21 audios (totaling almost 15 hours of audios). The material embody an analysis of th Russian Basic Course and emphasize aspects of aquiring listening comprehension skills which experience has demonstrated is particularly effective for English speaking students.

The course is designed to be done with the guidance of a trained Russion instructor and while it can be done on ones own it is not recommended to get the most benefit from the material.
