She has been teaching French as a Foreign Language since 2010 and coordinating a Self-Access Language Learning Center at the Universidad de Guanajuato in Mexico since 2014.
She is interested in sharing her cultural background (history, music, literature, beliefs, values, traditions, ...) with students from different countries (Mexican, American, Canadian, Italian, Spanish, Swiss, English, Korean, Brasilian, Dutch, Chinese, Australian, Japanese, Indian, Russian…).
During her free time, Emily likes taking photos and travelling across Mexico.

She really likes adapting her methods, activities, or practice to the students´ way of learning (visual type for instance). Teaching private classes allows the teacher to select texts or any documents that match the learners' interests.
She particularly likes to make students discover the culture of her native language by sharing his/her own.
In her class, she likes to offer different resources such as videos, audios, books, pictures, etc. (as updated as possible) about the student topics of interest. With the time, she collected a large amount of material of all kind that I will share in her classes (books, magazines, movies,...).
She has been teaching French for several institutions (private: Alliance Francaise, for instance or public: State University in Mexico, for example), to different kinds of students (children, teenagers or adults), from different nationalities (American, Japanese, Swiss, Dutch, English, Italian, Canadian,...) and also in various contexts (large groups, small groups, and to individuals) focussing on their improvement goals (reading, listening, writing and speaking activities / preparing for official exam).
She is currently teaching intercultural communication for BA students. She is definitely conscious of cultural differences and she knows how to raise awareness about intercultural mediation.
She is also very comfortable with Skype classes as it is a perfect opportunity to adjust students schedule and favourite place to learn!
She likes travelling, taking photographs, yoga and meditation.
