Kyujin has taught Korean in a variety of settings, including a US university, a high school summer camp, and a weekend school for Korean heritage children in the US. Prior to teaching Korean, Kyujin worked as an ESL instructor. Kyujin loves cooking and baking, and likes to listen to old k-pop music! She is looking forward to meeting a new student from all over the world and would like to help you improve your Korean through her years of language teaching experience.

Kyujin uses a combination of various teaching methods according to students needs and wants. In general, she prioritizes student-teacher interaction and focuses on building communicative skills. She puts emphasis on providing meaningful inputs using engaging authentic materials (e.g., video, audio, texts) and giving students lot of opportunities to use the language. She attempts to incorporate class language learning with language activities outside the class. She gives lots of support and feedback to students. Above all, Kyujin thinks learning a new language should be fun!
