1. Student Groups
Several different courses may be combined, minimum 1 week per course required. Course starting dates: Every Monday all year round for all courses (except Academic Year, Semester and Quarter Abroad). The weekly rate includes 5 days of classes (from Monday to Friday), 7 days accommodation with your host family or at our own student residence, 2 meals per day (at the host family only), laundry service (at the host family only), placement test, city tour, orientation session and course certificate. Mail service, money exchange, safety deposit box, wireless access to internet, luggage storage, and use of sports facilities are also included. Accommodation starts on Sunday before you start classes and ends on Saturday after you finish classes.
As part of the program you have the opportunity to learn about Ecuador / Peru / Bolivia, their history and people. In addition to the daily lectures we offer trips to local sights, museums, markets, etc. Social activities such as soccer and volley ball games, dance and cooking classes or movie nights provide you an excellent opportunity to make new friends from anywhere in the world. You can participate in as many activities as you like during your program at Academia Latinoamericana. Organized trips and group activities are offered two to four times per week.
We also arrange trips to exciting destinations such as the Galapagos Islands, Cotopaxi, Machu Picchu, Lake Titicaca, Uyuni Saltlake and many more and help you book accommodation, transport, tours and flights anywhere in the country.
Activities vary from week to week. Just a few examples are:

4. Inca ruins such as Saqsaywamán, Qenko, Tambomachay
1. Home stay
Provided in local host families so you experience full immersion in the Spanish language and get to know the Ecuadorian / Peruvian / Bolivian locals, our customs and culture. You will immediately feel the incredible warm-heartedness of South Americans while practicing the Spanish language in a natural surrounding and everyday situations. You won’t even notice how quickly you acquire fluency in Spanish. Your host family provides you a warm home away from home and you are certain to make lots of new friends for a lifetime.
Private bedroom are provided, this will be half board (breakfast and lunch). There are also host families who accommodate couples or families with children.
2. Student Residence
Inside the school campus, accommodated in a single or double room and a fully equipped kitchen allows you to prepare your own meals. The communal area with tv, dvd player, books and table games is a great place to socialize and meet other students from all over the world.
The Academia is registered with and recognized by the Ecuadorian Ministry of Education N°101-DEPP-07-2008. Certificates are awarded after completion of study, and college credit is available in the United States. Our program is also approved and recognized as a Bildungsurlaub in Germany.
