Andrés Felipe is from Colombia (South America), but he also lived for five years in England. He has a B.A in modern languages and Specialist in Virtual Teacher program; as well as being a qualified teacher of Spanish and English, he's also a musician; he plays guitar and sings in both of the languages he teaches, and he writes his own songs. He also loves watching movies, teaching, learning, listening to music, working out and walking with his dogs.

Due to globalization Spanish has become the second most studied language and second language in international communication. He knows to acquire a language, it requires special skills. Therefore, to help students become fluent in a romance language in less time than it would take someone studying with the traditional learning; the teacher likes to be researching, studying and updating his knowledge in teaching languages to provide his students new learning experiences and methods in order to help develop a proficient competence in speaking, listening, reading and writing in Spanish using real material and interactive activities. A key to acquiring a language is understanding the culture of different regions and societies, that’s why he likes to teach the idiomatic expressions in the language that is being taught and the contextual vocabulary meaning and usage in specific regions. His watchword is to “Make his students competitive, to face any language situation in any country where Spanish or English are spoken”.
Andrés has worked from 2006 to 2010 as a Spanish Teacher in England at universities and has offered private classes for English Native speakers (Beginners to Experts) who wanted to improve their Spanish. In Colombia he has worked as an English and Spanish Teacher from 2011 to the present, at colleges and virtually to Adolescents, Adults and Seniors through platforms such as Blackboard, Moodle using software like Skype, Google Hangouts and Collaborate. He still works with online students from USA, England, Canada, and Australia. He's also worked as a translator from English into Spanish and Spanish into English and also as a designer of interactive educational content in HTML5 for universities, companies and personal customers around the world. In his virtual and F2F experience, he believes that learning a language online is more efficient than in the classroom, due to the different tools that may be used to practice the four skills through interaction and intuition.
