Hello, my name is Guillem and I am a native speaker of Spanish from Barcelona, Spain.

I got my undergraduate degree in translation and interpretation from the Autonomous University of Barcelona and my master’s degree in teaching Spanish as a second language from the National University of Distance Education. In addition, I have taken many hours of trainings and certifications at institutions such as International House and the Instituto Cervantes.

I began teaching in 2007 and have taught mainly university students and adults. My students have come from many places, including Russia, Uzbekistan, Serbia, China and Estonia, where I currently live. Besides general Spanish, I specialize in test preparation (DELE) and Spanish for teachers.
In my free time I love to read, travel, listen to music, play the guitar and run marathons.

I would love for you to contact me for a free trial class.

I have been mainly trained in the Communicative Language Teaching approach. This means that I use a wide variety of activities in my lessons, that all skills are developed, that the students are the real protagonists in my lessons and that language is always viewed as a beautiful tool to communicate effectively in any given situation.

However, my international experience has also taught me the importance of students' needs and goals, the influence of pedagogical traditions in the language learning process. That is why I always try to determine first what my students need, in order to tailor my expertise to their requirements and walk together towards their aims.
