Rodrigo's Fun Facts
My name is Rodrigo. I am a Spanish native speaker. I have worked as a Spanish lecturer in the UK for many years in different schools and at all levels. I also finished my Master in Linguistics applied to teaching Spanish to foreign students, at Nebrija University in Madrid and currently, I am in the application process to start a Ph.D. in Spanish Studies by early May of this year.
I have a very strong interest in developing my teaching career because I have always loved explaining things to other people and I have always found this profession very rewarding.

I work very well individually as well as in a group and I am always willing to learn and improve. My teaching methodology includes a modern approach whilst being firmly based in a framework of traditional classroom skills. I deliver lessons in a variety of learning styles in order to develop and foster in each student an accurate oral and grammatical grasp of language always emphasizing the importance of enjoying and feeling comfortable with the foreign language as well as transmitting my native Spanish knowledge about cultural and social expressions, behaviors and traditions.

I enjoy taking an active role in academic extracurricular agenda and I have been involved with activities like, basketball, football coaching as well as being involved in School games, films and debate clubs, all roles which I thoroughly enjoy. I have practiced different types of team activities during all my life like football and basketball during my school and university years and writing clubs and competitions. During summer time, I use to work in camps taking care of teenagers motivate them with activities in nature. I could feel the importance and responsibility of representing my school and winning different tournaments and also to share these capacities with and help my team mates.
