After moving to Hong Kong he then worked for 13 years tutoring International school students privately in basic English communication, as well as writing, composition and various academic subjects. Having moved to Indonesia, he worked for a year teaching various English related subjects at the Muhammadiyah University of Purwokerto.

I have used many different teaching styles but I would say mainly that I like to get students to practice lesson material by making their own example sentences. I don't emphasize explanation but rather prefer that students come to an understanding of the material by themselves practicing making sentences. I try to tailor lessons to students interests and find ways to integrate particular study to students interests and opinions. I also like to break classes into sections so that students don't get bored and always feel challenged to use different ways of approaching study material.
