Arabic is broken down into many different dialects. Modern Standard Arabic is the most spoken through the Arabic world, but each region speaks it's own version of Arabic. Please let us know which one you would prefer. If you are not sure, we recommend starting with Modern Standard Arabic.

• Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) - This dialect is understood or spoken as a second dialect by more than 206 million Arabic-speaking people. MSA is spoken in most formal situations, such as radio broadcasts, lectures and sermons, since it is the most commonly understood Arabic dialect. This dialect has been chosen in most Middle Eastern countries as the first language of the country, or at least the second in cases where a specific dialect predominates.
• Egyptian Arabic - This is considered the most widely spoken and understood "second dialect." It’s mostly heard in Egypt.
• Levantine Arabic - This dialect is often heard in Syria, Lebanon, Palestine, and western Jordan.
• Gulf Arabic - Mostly heard throughout the Gulf Coast from Kuwait to Oman.
• Jordanian Arabic - This dialect is used in most of Jordan. It is simular to Levantine Arabic.
• Maghreb Arabic - Spoken mostly in Algeria, Tunis, Morocco, and western Libya.
• Hijazi Arabic - This dialect is spoken in the area west of present-day Saudi Arabia, which is referred to as the Hejaz region.
• Yemeni Arabic - This dialect is most common to Yemen.

Some of our teachers specialize in certain age ranges such as children or seniors. By getting this information we are able to make sure to match the student up with the ideal teacher for their age.
