Hello, my name is Ivan. I am a native speaker of Spanish from Valencia, Spain, a lovely city on the Mediterranean coast. I have been a Spanish teacher since 2012, with certification from the Instituto Cervantes. I also have a degree in political science and sociology from the Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia. I am also a licensed examiner for levels A1 and A2.

I have taught students of all ages and levels from all over the world, both in Spain and abroad. My students have come from the US, Canada, Belgium, Germany, Italy, UK, China, Japan, and Brazil. I specialize in teaching Spanish for test preparation (DELE, ECELE), professional Spanish, Spanish for tourism, Spanish for business, and Spanish for teachers or priests.

I love meeting new people through my teaching and enjoy making friends with my students. I am a curious person and like to try new things, especially art, music, food, sports and reading.

I would love to help you learn Spanish. Please contact me for a trial class.

"I just passed my first DELE level. Thank you so much!" Martin H. - Masters Student

"If you ever want to improve your Spanish and travel around the world at the same time, this is the way to do it. As an English teacher I move to a new place every 1-2 years, and this way I can keep up my studies where ever I am." Celine T. - Teacher

"I teach high school Spanish, but I sometimes don't feel comfortable enough with my spoken Spanish in the classes. This is primarily because I don't have anybody to practice with, and going to Spain once a year for 2 weeks of immersion is simply not enough for me to keep my level up. But [my Spanish teacher] is great and now that I can speak with her twice a week, I feel much better in my classes as well. She has even given me some great ideas for activities to do with my students!" Claire S. - Spanish Teacher

"My work brought me to Mexico City and I did not speak any Spanish. I did not have time to spend hours in traffic everyday to get to a physical school and Live Lingua worked great for me. I have been with them for over 3 years and now speak Spanish very well." Joost V. - Web Developer
