Teaching style

My classes are conversational, and we will practice grammar, vocabulary, listening, and reading in practical contexts and situations. As a teacher, I am demanding but also very patient and kind. I want my students to succeed and to have fun. I enjoy getting to know my students and their interests and hobbies while tailoring my classes to meet their needs. I like to create a supportive classroom atmosphere where students can feel comfortable communicating in English, while at the same time providing corrections and feedback for students at all times. I enjoy using creative activities such as games, role-plays, and discussions to make my classes more interactive and fun. We will also use videos, podcasts, articles, and exercises from the internet as resources in our classes.

Hobbies

I love to play music (trombone, flute, trumpet, ukulele, and guitar) and (try to) write songs, and I play in a couple of bands. I also work as a musician in Mexico City and I love playing music as a hobby and as a profession. I love to travel and learn about new cultures. I enjoy cooking, walking, spending time outdoors, hiking, doing yoga and taking dance classes.

"He is an amazing teacher" June Z. - Unknown

"We signed up for a special package of English for our small business and have all of our staff taking classes with the teachers. We are half native English speakers, and the rest are from other countries. But we communicate in English. The Live Lingua English lessons have really helped the daily interaction in our company as may of our non-English speakers are now more confortable speaking in English." Mazoyer E. - Tourism Business

"Communication is very important in my business, and with [my English tutor] I am able to work on my fluidity and accent for a price I can afford. I recommend Live Lingua to anybody who wants to learn English." Miyazaki R. - Tour Guide

"I started by listening to the Live Lingua English audios on this website, and then later downloaded them for my iPod. It is great for my morning commute to work." Geoff D. - Manager
